Sewin’ Sisters Sowing gets together the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month in my home to sew for local charities. The grapevine tells us that you have a crocheting, knitting, or sewing group that does much the same thing. We thought it would be great fun to get all of us together on the same day and time, and at the same place, and sew our hearts out for all of our favorite charities. And we will combine it with a free fabric event! You don’t need to swap fabric – just take what you want!!
NO MONEY WILL BE EXCHANGED!!
The mission of this event is to give us the opportunity to share information about the many charity fiber arts groups in the Greater Harrisburg Area, collect a contact list for the various crocheting, knitting, or sewing circles, while creating our own group projects to benefit our community in a big way. This is not a contest to see which group cranks out the most items; it is an opportunity to see what crocheters, knitters, and sewers in Central PA are doing to help our community, and how we might be able to help each other.
SEWING TABLES: Want to demonstrate how you create your charity projects and display your completed items? List groups you’ve helped with your sewing talents? Photos? Instructions on how to construct your projects? Recruit volunteers? Please let me know so we can set up a table for you.
